DANBURY — Police said a drunken woman stumbled into the kitchen of a local bar and tried walking out with nearly $500 worth of chicken and a bottle of Irish whiskey.
According to a police spokesman, shortly before 8 p.m. Tuesday, Branden Crutcher, of Fairfield, walked into the kitchen at O’Brien’s Sports Pub and Restaurant, 83 Lake Ave., and grabbed “a bag of chicken valued at close to $500.”
The 34-year-old also reached for a bottle of Jameson Irish Whiskey, but was quickly collared by the bar’s staff, said Danbury Police Capt. Thomas Wendel.
Crutcher was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing and sixth-degree larceny, according to Wendel.
She was held on $10,000 bond.
