For the first time in over a century, Giles County has its first legal whiskey “still”.
TennSouth Distillery broke ground in Lynnville on Friday.
It will be a complete grain to bottle operation. Various commissioners, mayors, the county executive, Economic Developer Dan Speer, Giles County Chamber of Commerce, Tourism Foundation members, and and others were on hand for the ceremony.
The completed micro-distillery is expected to have have clear liquors flowing for sale by late fall, with aged whiskey to come later. Doctor Blair Butler is founder of TennSouth Distillery.
