OCALA – Police are looking for a man accused of putting three cans of beer in his pants and going into a store bathroom and consuming the beverages without paying for them.

An officer with the Ocala Police Department viewed surveillance video taken Thursday at the Stop and Shop at 470 NE Eighth Ave., Ocala. The video shows a man taking two Schlitz 16-ounce malt liquor beverages and one Becks 16-ounce beer from a cooler and placing them down the front of his pants.

The beverages were priced at $3 each.

A clerk said that when the man came out of the bathroom he tried to stop him but the man pushed him out of the way and walked out of the store. The clerk said the three beer cans were empty in the bathroom trash bin.

The suspect is described as a white male who was wearing a black and white striped shirt, dark blue jeans and a black baseball cap with sunglasses sitting on top. He has long sideburns and a goatee.

Anyone with information can call the Ocala Police Department at 369-7000, Crime Line at 369-7061 or Crime Stoppers at 368-STOP.
